We are currently looking for professionals with experience working with pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) including; Mild Learning Difficulties (MLD), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), Specific Learning Difficulties (SPLD), Physical Disability (PD), Hearing Impairment (HI – British Sign Language Trained), Visually Impaired (VI), Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SCLN – British Sign Language Trained), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) & Social Emotional Mental Health (SEMH).

The SEN specialists’ main role is to provide support for pupils with a statement of special educational needs, ensuring that the pupil can integrate as fully as possible in the activities generally undertaken by the other children in the class and develop to their full potential.

Key Duties Include:

Providing learning support for the pupil in class or in withdrawal situations, either one to one or in small groups.

Developing knowledge of the particular needs of the child

Aiding access to the full range of learning experiences both inside and outside the classroom

Involvement in the planning and preparation of the day to day class activities

Organising and maintaining an inclusive learning environment both in the classroom

Providing positive reinforcements, praise and rewards

Facilitating inclusion in small group activities with peers & supporting interaction

Working as part of a team to ensure that the wellbeing and personal development of the pupil enhances their learning opportunities and life skills.

Attending planning meetings with the Inclusion Manager and class teacher to develop learning programs and to assist in the promotion of learning , behavior and communication skills

To be considered for this position or any of our roles we are looking for candidates with HLTA experience or be working as a SEN TA for 6 weeks or more within a school environment.
