The food is very much at the heart of the offering at the George, defining the personality of the business and setting us aside from other UK hotels.

We source the best local ingredients we can find for example, lamb from the farms of Romney Marsh, fish from our supplier’s trawler in Hastings – always sourcing according to season when available.

Apart from the focus on ingredients, we prepare dishes that are simple yet packed with great flavours, generously presented and with a focus on our grill section. The menu draws from mainly British influences with some Mediterranean favourites.

Experience of working in a commercial kitchen,

Knowledge and experience of health and hygiene regulations
