Salary -£24-£28k per annum

Bolton Lads & Girls Club is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and dynamic Safeguarding and Welfare Officer to act as the charity's Designated Safeguarding Officer. The role will report directly to the Chief Executive and will focus on managing the Clubs safeguarding work across our four sites, including the delivery of training, updating policy and procedure in line with legislation, audits and referrals.

Candidates should have:
  • Previous experience leading on safeguarding within an education, social work or youth work setting.
  • Ability to motivate children/young people by establishing empathetic and supportive working relationships.
  • Ability to monitor and review through self-evaluation, report writing and a clear system of record keeping.
  • Ability to work flexibly, innovatively and responsively in a challenging environment.
