Head Teacher, Letham Primary School, 35 hours per week, Closing Date 15th April 2018

Letham Primary School and Nursery class is a non-denominational school catering for Nursery to P7, situated in the Craigshill area of Livingston and is part of the Inveralmond Learning Community. The school roll is currently 217 in 9 classes from P1-P7. From August 2018 the school team will consist of a Headteacher, Principal Teacher, Support for Learning Teacher and a Musical Instrument Tutor. There are a team of 14 Pupil Support Workers (7 funded through PEF to support specific interventions, to run the Nurture Class and a librarian to promote a culture of reading) and a part time PEF funded SALT. There is a full time admin and a full time clerical member of staff in the office. The Nursery Class is currently staffed with an Early Years Officer job share, 3 Nursery Nurses and from August 2018 the Nursery Class will have a full time additional graduate ELC Officer. Our provision currently is for 30 am and 20 pm places. The majority of our nursery pupils transition to Letham Primary. The school works hard to provide an inclusive and nurturing environment for children and their families. The school building is spacious and provides a bright and attractive working environment for pupils and staff. The Community wing provides a range of training opportunities for parents and a well-established playgroup managed by The Daisy Drop - In. Our parents are very supportive and have provided valuable support in evaluating the work of the school. Our free breakfast club is well supported with around 150 children attending regularly and there is a good uptake of Early Learning and Childcare in the Nursery.
