MacIntyre is an award-winning national charity supporting people with learning disabilities. Our core belief is that everyone has potential, something to offer and a valuable contribution to make to their community.

We have a vacancy supporting adults for a part-time Senior Support Worker in our service in the Harlescott area of Shrewsbury. This position is for 30 hours per week in a female only service, and may include some lone working.

About the role

This MacIntyre service is two ladies in their thirties sharing a house; One Lady attends day services within the community and participates in various activities through this. She also attends Discos through Hive. The other lady enjoys walking, watching telly, swimming, riding a bike and car boots. She also volunteers in a charity shop one day a week.

As a Senior, you will develop rotas and deputise for the Frontline Manager. You will work closely with the staff team, encouraging them and identifying training needs, whether formal or by way of day-to-day coaching and reflection.
