Heales Medical is an Occupational Health provider with a UK wide presence. We provide OH services to a large variety of both public and private sector organisations of various sizes.
We currently have a vacancy in our Keynsham clinic for a part-time nurse assessor who will work with our team of remote OH qualified Nurse Advisors to undertake health assessments for our local clients in order to produce OH fitness reports.
This is an exciting crossover role ideal for a nurse who would like to branch into the world of Occupational Health or has some experience they wish to expand upon. A training programme will be included in the role with the nurse building upon the skills they have over a period of time. We will support nurses wishing to undertake the OH conversion degree if they wish to do so, however this is not essential.
The basic functions of the role are: Assessing fitness to work for new starters to our client organisations; Undertaking health assessments for individuals who are off work due to sickness or who are struggling to perform their role due to poor health; Health surveillance for safety critical roles, giving vaccinations and undertaking blood tests.
The role is for 2 days per week. Initial salary is £30k - £32.5k p.a. pro-rata dependant on skills, qualifications and experience. which will rise in line with skills and experience whilst undertaking the role. Applicants need to be a registered nurse and have an interest in working within the field of Occupational Health. Excellent communication and computer skills are essential and both your written and spoken English will need to be fluent and conversational.
