LOCATION: Driffield, York

JOB TITLE: Administrative Officer

SALARY & BENEFITS: £19,559 per annum pro rata

WORKING HOURS: Part Time (20hrs per week) A degree of flexibility will be required.


THE COMPANY: Our client is based in Driffield and are a national, voluntary, uniformed youth organisation with origins dating back to 1860. It has a membership of almost 46,000 cadets (aged 12-18) and over 8,500 adult volunteers (aged 18-65) dispersed across some 1,700 locations all over the UK. They have an exciting opportunity available for a Administrative Officer to join their team.

Key Responsibilities/duties of an Administrative Officer to include:-

Input and interrogate Voluntary Remuneration system within Westminster
Support and manage recruitment, including processing all documentation and input detail to Westminster
Inputting all nvoices for payment
Input and interrogate and maintain records on Westminster
Maintain the County DBS, Security & Responsible for Information database to ensure clearances are current in conjunction with the CEO. Process all documentation and input detail to Westminster.
Cover for other members of staff during leave or other periods of absence as advised by the Office Manager.
Together with other members of the office staff, operate the main gate security and telephone switchboard.

THE CANDIDATE: The ideal candidate for the Administrative Officer role will need to have an organised approach to work, proven people skills and a high degree of flexibility and adaptability. You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, be able to work well in a small team with the ability to prioritise your workload. You will need to live within a commutable distance to Driffield.

Key experience essential for the role of Administrative Officer:-

IT literate, with particular experience in using MS Office applications and database interrogation
Experience in general office procedures and competent use of general office equipment
Understanding of Military/ACF procedures is advantageous
Knowledge of Child Protection procedures is advantageous
Hold a current full driving licence is desirable
