Are you an experienced Project Manager with a combination of events, communications, marketing and PR experience? Are you looking for a dynamic and fast-paced role within the charity sector? We are delighted to be working with The Foundation for Social Improvement, a charity set up to provide strategic support to small charities thus enabling them to continue their work to support millions of individuals, families, communities and other causes that need support. Please note this is a part-time ( three days per week) maternity cover role, until May 2019. Working collaboratively with the Head of Special Projects and Communications, the overall purpose of this role is to support the development and delivery of the overall aims of The FSI. The role of the Senior Project Manager will support the special projects and communications team ensuring that their conferences and Special Events Programme are delivered successfully. Day to day duties will include project and event management such as producing written materials, briefings, presentations, evaluations and reports. You will be manage the marketing and communications to produce press releases, ensuring all internal and external communications is of high standard. There will also be the opportunity to manage to be engaged with the annual projects budget ensuring all projects are delivering on budget. To be considered for this role, short-listed candidates will have excellent events related experience with experience of organising a variety of events, conferences, and receptions. It is essential to have marketing and communications skills, including PR, social media and writing blogs with the ability to demonstrate initiative as well as working to tight deadlines. Exceptional verbal and written communications skills are required for this role, with and ability to forward plan and manage projects to achieve success.
