Position: Non-Executive Director (Housing Association) Audit Committee Member
Location: Gainsborough, Lincolnshire (Commutable from Doncaster, Scunthorpe, Lincoln, Worksop and surrounding areas)
Job Type: Part Time, Permanent
Salary: £1,250 per annum (pro rata)

About the role:

They are now looking to recruit a new member to join their committed and talented Audit and Risk Committee. They have a strong and committed Board that takes governance of the organisation seriously. This role will work as a key member of the Audit and Risk Committee, which brings independent scrutiny and challenge to provide the Board with assurance and exercise oversight of the internal and external audit functions.

The expected time commitment for this role is likely to be a minimum of four meetings per year. Out-of-pocket expenses related to the role will be reimbursed in line with the company’s expenses policy.

About you:

They are looking for someone who has held senior level positions within the commercial, public sector, local / central government policy or charitable sector. Candidates with experience of the housing sector are particularly welcome.

You will have a high degree of financial and commercial acumen. In addition, you will also have a high level of personal integrity and honesty, possess excellent communication skills, and have the confidence and diplomacy to challenge the business and expect relevant assurances.

You will possess in-depth, up-to-date knowledge of the opportunities and threats posed by the external environment in which they operate.

Preference will be given to individuals who have the following skillsets: housing; stakeholder relations; finance.

You may have experience of the following: Non-Executive Director, NED, Consultant, Housing Association, Retired Director, Finance Director, Assistant Chair, Board Member, Internal Audit, Auditor, etc.
