This is an exciting time to join London South East Colleges. Following a number of mergers we are now one of the largest and fastest growing Colleges in London. As a result we have a number of new positions available across the College, based at our various campuses.

We are currently recruiting for Work Experience and Employability Advisors who will play an important role in ensuring students have the opportunity to gain a high quality work experience placement and work related experiences, to develop employability skills. The role will involve liaising closely with employers to source placements and other related activities, with students and curriculum staff, to match career aspirations and course requirements. The suitable candidate will provide an excellent learning experience to ensure students and employers are suitably prepared for work experience/related activity and will co-ordinate and monitor progress throughout the programme.

The ideal candidate will have an understanding of Further Education and preferably some experience of working in a college environment and with businesses/employers.

To be successful in this role, you'll need to have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and be able to effectively liaise with employers and other external stakeholders to source new placements and other work related opportunities, whilst building new relationships and managing existing ones. You'll also have exceptional organizational skills combined with good IT knowledge and sound administration skills.

As the College supports a number of children and vulnerable adults, all staff are exempt from Section 4(2) of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. Accordingly, most staff will be subject to either a 'Standard' or 'Enhanced' DBS (formerly CRB) check.
