Here at Amazon, the Engineering team is looking to hire for the following roles: Reliability Maintenance Engineering (RME) Manager; Control System Engineer; Senior Reliability Maintenance Engineering Technician; Reliability Maintenance Engineering Technician

Reliability Maintenance Engineering (RME) Manager

The Reliability Engineering Manager is the site lead for all Engineering matters within a building. They are responsible for leading their team and building a culture of safety; for ensuring all statutory compliance requirements are followed to provide a safe working environment for all occupants of the building; for providing a high level of equipment availability to the General Manager and for working with the EU Engineering team to plan for future growth. They are also required to take part in network-wide improvement initiatives and to implement standards created elsewhere in the network.

Basic requirements:

· 5+ years of Engineering team leadership experience.

· A Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (Industrial, Electrical, Mechanical, Civil) from an accredited university or 2+ years’ experience in an Amazon engineering team.

· Multi skilled in both electrical and mechanical disciplines.

· Excellent communications skills (written & verbal) in English and the local language.

· Experience of automated equipment including packaging machinery, sortation and conveyor systems.

· Project management experience.

· Ability to travel up to 15% of the time.

 

Reliability Maintenance Engineering Area Manager

The Reliability Engineering Area Manager is the line manager for a team of engineering technicians. They maintain the focus on safety by training, developing and coaching their team. They deliver a high level of equipment availability by ensuring all preventative maintenance is conducted and internal processes and procedures are followed.

Basic Requirements:

· Degree or NVQ Level 4 in a relevant engineering discipline or served a full engineering indentured apprenticeship. Multi-skilled in both electrical and mechanical disciplines.

· Significant practical engineering experience including a supervisory role managing people.

· Experience of automated equipment including packaging machinery, sortation and conveyor systems.

· Excellent communications skills (written & verbal) in English.

· Experience of working to appropriate health & safety standards and regulations.

· Excellent computer skills (MS Office, CAD).

 

Control Systems Engineer

The focus of the Controls System Specialist (CSS) role is to fault find, troubleshoot and improve controls solutions for automated material handling equipment such as conveyors, sortation systems, scanners, cameras, print and apply systems, scales, HMI systems, and control cabinets. The CSS will also provide training to the Engineering Technicians on device troubleshooting and preventive maintenance.

Basic requirements:

· HND/C in Electrical or Controls biased qualification

· PLC programming and implementation experience with one of the following: Siemens S7, Allen-Bradley, Modicon, Momentum, AutomationDirect, Mitsubishi, Omron, Aromat, Toshiba, etc.

· Experience with SQL, Linux, Cloud Technology and IP Networking

· Project management, organization and problem-solving skills

· Good written and verbal communication skills.

· Ability to be able to operate with minimal supervision.

· Willingness to work in a fast-paced and growing European and global environment where travel is required.

 

Senior Reliability Maintenance Engineering Technician

The focus of the Senior Reliability Engineering Technician role is to ensure safety regulations and policies are adhered to, to ensure preventative maintenance is conducted on time to a high standard and to provide high levels of equipment availability through continuous improvement. The Senior Maintenance Technician is the first point of contact for the Operations team and is responsible for the overall effectiveness of the Engineering shift.

Basic requirements:

· Multi skilled in both electrical and mechanical disciplines with at least 5 years’ experience in automation or complex MHE environments.

· Solid foundational knowledge of PLC based controls systems.

· Experience using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) to plan predictive maintenance and record reactive tasks.

· Understanding of OEE and equipment performance metrics.

· Knowledge of Statutory Compliance requirements.

· Experience in mentoring and developing junior technicians.

· Experience in contractor management.

· Tactful ability to solve problems under high pressure.

· Ability to communicate (written & verbal) in English.

· Ability to work shifts in a 24/7 environment.

· 5 GCSE, NVQ3, ONC/D, C&G 2330, 17th Ed.

 

Reliability Maintenance Engineering Technician

The focus of this role is to ensure safety regulations and policies are adhered to, to ensure preventative maintenance is conducted on time to a high standard and to provide high levels of equipment availability through continuous improvement.

Basic requirements:

· Served a full engineering indentured apprenticeship and/or qualified to a minimum of NVQ level 3 or equivalent

· Multi skilled in both electrical and mechanical disciplines

· Experience of planned preventative maintenance systems

· Experience fault finding within MHE/Automation systems

· Ability to read and understand mechanical and electrical drawings

· Basic workshop skills

· Experience in conveyor maintenance, motor controllers/inverters

· Experience of working to appropriate health & safety standards and regulations

· Experience in contractor management

· Ability to work shifts in a 24/7 environment
