Quite a morning... fresh from the school run and straight into counter-espionage!
Organisational skills. An eye for detail. Real initiative. Many people don’t realise these are the skills we’re looking for. At MI5, our administrative assistants come from a wide range of backgrounds, with different levels of experience. We’re interested in your ability to use your existing skills in a unique context. Join us and you’ll be helping to protect the country.
Each department offers a range of roles, diverse challenges and direct insight into our fascinating work – everything from tackling cyber threats to counter-espionage. You could be organising meetings, managing information and records, booking travel, looking after visitors or providing essential support to our officers. Whatever the task, you’ll play a part in ensuring our organisation runs smoothly. In fact, we couldn’t do our work without you.
Whether you join us full or part-time, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to broaden and enhance your administrative skills. You’ll need five GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades A-C, or some office experience. But more than that, you’ll want to add value to our busy teams and play an important role in keeping the UK safe.
