Director of Fraud, Error Debt and Grants
The Cabinet Office is recruiting for a Director of Fraud, Error Debt and Grants.
In 2010, Ministers were asked to establish a team of experts, to look at financial leakage to government from fraud and non-repayment of debt. Since then, this has grown in importance, remit, and influence, and the Fraud, Error, Debt and Grant function was established within the Cabinet Office in 2016.
This role is built on three components; Fraud and Error, Debt, and Grants and experience in a minimum of two of these areas is essential. This is a business critical position within Government. You will be responsible for delivering savings of £6bn to help meet the fiscal deficit and impacting Brexit. The role has to ensure savings are delivered to help meet current economic targets.
This team comprises of 50-90 staff, and will require an inspirational leader to build a shared and inclusive culture at all levels. You will need to demonstrate the expertise to deliver complex, business critical and large-scale change programmes in a high profile, often ambiguous environment.
As the successful candidate, you will provide vision to diverse senior teams that drive forward business objectives and deliver value for money. Experience of influencing senior leaders across a complex stakeholder environment to deliver shared objectives is essential.
