Business Development (Field and Office Based) London & Home Counties
£24,000 base - car allowance (£4,800), laptop, phone - £33,000 - £40,000 OTE year 1

Global CTS is working with an established and very profitable company selling high value business to business solutions. Outstanding growth has been achieved by a driven, well trained, professional sales and marketing team. This vibrant business is now recruiting two dynamic sales people who are happy to work four days field based and one day office based (Wallingford). You will be covering a large area that can be developed into a patch that works for you. All they ask is that you can show drive, determination and some sales experience.

They have a proven sales model of developing graduates and non-graduates to senior Sales and Account Management level. Career development has occurred as a result of intensive sales school training supported by field sales development with senior sales Managers. Due to our success we are now anxious to start the next intake of ambitious recruits who wish to join its highly regarded and successful sales team. These are outstanding opportunities for graduates or Non Graduates with up to two years commercial experience that have ability and desire to work in a successful sales team and making a major contribution to its double digit growth. Natural personal qualities, which will include confidence, a competitive spirit, ambition, and a persuasive ability, are more important than sales experience since the intensive programme will accelerate the learning of key sales disciplines required to operate at the highest sales level.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • Qualifying and booking your own appointments (calling/social media/networking)
  • Cold Calling - booking (one day each week)
  • Monitor and report to line manager on activities and provide relevant management information
  • Attend business to business sales meetings
  • Upgrading existing customer contracts (Account Management)
  • Presentations to potential customers – selling capital equipment
  • Manage your own diary
  • Develop a set geographical area
  • Ability to work under pressure

Job Specifications (Skills and Experience)
The candidate should possess excellent communication skills and have the ability to identify and develop sales opportunities. You need to be outgoing, confident, well presented and have a positive attitude with the ability to develop strong relationships with clients. Experience is not necessary as in depth training will be given.

Skills Requirements

  • A minimum 2 years commercial experience is required although not essential
  • Ideally educated to ‘A’ level or above. (not essential)
  • IT literate – Intermediate Microsoft excel and word skills
  • Good commercial awareness and a proven track record within a direct sales role would be of benefit
  • Excellent business writing and time management skills
  • Good influencing and customers service skills
  • Excellent reporting and analytical skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a natural ability to converse with a diverse audience
