The Health Transformation Programme is responsible for the design and build of new and significantly changing capabilities in support of outcomes across a range of disciplines, including commercial, digital, estates and operations. It’s a major, complex, and challenging programme and the potential benefits to citizens and government are massive. For the successful Programme Director this will be a career-defining role.
Reporting directly to the Senior Responsible Officer, the Programme Director will oversee the end-to-end co-ordination and management of the Programme. This is a unique role given its overarching accountability, diverse stakeholders and the ability to make a real difference to the lives of citizens. It is a hugely demanding, high profile role with major leadership responsibilities. This role requires a broad range of skills and significant senior stakeholder engagement across departmental functions, Cabinet Office, HM Treasury and No10, as well as external delivery partners; as such it is likely to appeal to people from a wide range of business backgrounds. It also requires independence of thought and a high level of personal resilience, driving significant change in a complex and highly political environment and contributing to the overall corporate management of our organisation.
