BJD are currently recruiting for an experienced Finance Administrator to join a of a growing freight forwarding company based at their busy site in Dover. – This role would be working on a part time working Monday to Friday 09:30 – 15:00

On offer is a salary of up to £13,000, this is based on working 25 hours per week.

The Company

The company is a freight company and subsidiary of a larger supply chain group specialising in international transport and shipping.

The Role

You will be utilising your knowledge and skills to organise sales and purchase ledger, banking, credit control and status enquiries. Also required are a range of detailed office administration functions to support a busy operations team.

Key Responsibilities

• Weekly production of sales invoices to customers with associated accounting reports.

• Weekly management of supplier purchase invoices including resolving queries and batching invoices for payment.

• Daily banking duties.

• New customer credit references and status enquiries together with existing customer credit renewals.

• Daily management by telephone and email of finance queries from customers and supplier..

• Preparing Certificates of Insurance and managing monthly insurance declarations.

• Daily management of all functions of a busy office finance function in conjunction with the company Director.

The Person

• A knowledge of standard purchase ledger and sales ledger management procedures.

• Excellent organisational skills to manage all tasks on time and keep accurate records.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required with customers, suppliers, and at all levels of the business internally.

• The ability to prioritize, organize & manage time efficiently is essential within a busy team.

• Attention to detail is critical for the production of invoices, reports and other documents.

• A detailed knowledge of general purchase and sales ledger procedures is an advantage.
