Female Care Assistant
I am a friendly 34 year old disabled man looking for a part-time female PA to join my team.
Shift times are 09.15 – 13.15 and/or 18.15 – 23.15 including weekends, arranged on a rota (more details about shifts will be given during the interview). As you will be part of a team, you will need to be flexible and willing to cover annual leave and sicknesses.
I have Duchenne muscular dystrophy and am supported 24/7 by my team of PAs. I have a positive outlook and lead a full life – I’m currently studying part-time for a PhD in History and enjoy seeing my family and friends.
The role as my PA includes personal care, health care and assistance with activities of everyday living. Previous care experience is helpful but not essential – you will be given full specialist training and ongoing support from my experienced PAs.
I need someone who is organised, flexible, patient and reliable. You should also have a good standard of written and spoken English.
To be my PA you should have a positive attitude to work and be able to fit into a physically active role. You must also be a confident experienced driver with a full clean licence to drive my adapted vehicle. I frequently need to be driven to meetings, appointments or social activities.
You will be employed directly by me. The pay rates are from £11 for weekdays (£10 during the probationary period) up to £16.50 for Sundays.
If you are interested in working alongside me and my team please apply through my recruitment agency with an up to date CV outlining previous employment and education, and a covering letter saying why you would be suitable for the role.
Due to the nature of the position, in this instance there is a Genuine Occupational Requirement to recruit female Support Workers
