I am pleased to be working alongside an established successful business situated in Newcastle.

Joining the business as a Management Accountant, you will be responsible for providing financial information and advice on a timely basis in supporting the Board of Directors and shareholders; enabling them to make sound business decisions.

Responsibilities of the position:

•Providing and interpreting financial information on a regular basis
•Monitoring and interpreting cash flow and predicting future trends
•Working with GM and directors in formulating strategic short, medium and long term business plans and growth strategies
•Researching and reporting on factors influencing business performance
•Develop and implement financial management mechanisms that minimise risk
•Conducting reviews and evaluations for cost reduction opportunities
•Manage the company’s financial accounting, monitoring and reporting systems
•Liaising with the external accountants to ensure statutory and compliance requirements are met.
•Develop and manage all external relationships eg: accountants, solicitors and statutory organisations
•Develop systems of budget management and related cash flow analysis
•Develop and arrange sources of finance for management of the company’s debt facilities
•Manage a small accounts team
•Prepare monthly management accounts for the organisation and individual branches
•Undertake audit visits to other branches
•Maintain Asset Register
•Prepare payroll
•Prepare bank reconciliations, petty cash and expenses, as well as other routine month end procedures
•Prepare and submit quarterly VAT returns

•Experience with SAGE200 software (essential)
