Our Reading client is currently recruiting for an Alumnae Relations Coordinator to join their team.

This role is part time (25 hours) over 34 weeks, the hourly rate is £14.28 (including holiday pay)

The Role

The successful candidate will strengthen the mutually beneficial relationship between stakeholders and the school. The ability to inspire, motivate and influence, both internally and externally, is essential, as is ability to demonstrate real income growth through building and sustaining a wide variety of relationships.

This is a crucial role in sustaining a vital community of friends and supporters, through communications, events, database management and research. The successful candidate will report to the Marketing and Communications Manager to communicate effectively though the website and provide Data Management information.

Key Duties

* Be the first point of contact and the key link with the QA Society (past pupils, parents and staff), QASPA (Parents’ Association) and other stakeholders as appropriate to build relationships
* Establish and maintain a social media presence for Alumnae and QASPA
* Develop a range of communication activities (magazines, relevant web pages, written and electronic communications ) providing alumnae, supporters and external contacts information about school news
* Be responsible for the communications plan for the QA Society and QASPA
* Generate and be responsible for on and off line communications to promote events, programmes
* Work with the Events Manager to plan events, maximising interest and delivering the highest standards
* Liaise with the School Careers Advisor to strengthen links between Alumnae and current pupils by driving alumni careers related events
* Support alumnae with planning of their events and reunions
* Able to produce and evidence time lined activities with measurements of success
* Be responsible for the CRM Database to ensure all relevant information is captured in a format that works with existing databases for maximising communication and that the information is kept up to date.
* Be responsible for collating destination data of leavers for three years after leaving
* Adhere to strict timetables with the ability to produce information clearly and concisely
* Contribute to the enhancement of the Schools profile by ensuring professionalism and high standards of service at all times
* Cultivate relationships with current and potential QA Society and QASPA members which will include attending a number of school events outside normal working hours

Experience and Skills

* Knowledge of, or experience within the Independent School sector
* Experience in a similar role working in a small team and with the ability to co-ordinate across a range of disciplines and departments within the community
* Experience of successfully forming networks, collaborations and professional relationships
* Excellent communication skills including the ability to be tactful and discrete in particular where access to confidential and sensitive information is required
* Show evidence of being able to manage challenging relationships
* Excellent IT skills including CRM databases and content managed websites
* Ability to prioritise self, workload and manage time effectively
* Sustained approach to working to deadlines with evidence of being able to plan and deliver
* Ability to work in an enthusiastic, positive manner bringing new ideas and proposals
* Ability to demonstrate evidence within fundraising and prospecting
* Flexibility and a sense of humour
* Must be prepared to attend internal and external training days
* Marketing experience or activity
* Project management
