Polytec are recruiting for a Part-Time Financial and Purchasing Assistant. The position is based with a growing, dynamic technology company situated very close to Cambridge's bustling Science Park. You'll work approximately 20 - 25 hours a week, which can be achieved either by a short week of full days or a larger number of shorter days. The workload is expected to be split approximately 2/3 finance and 1/3 purchasing and will report to the Company's Accounting Manager.We're looking for candidates who can show reliability, numeracy and attention to detail. Familiarity with Excel is essential and experience with Sage 200 is desirable but not essential as training will be given.What You'll be Doing:* Day to day operation of the Purchase Ledger, receiving and checking invoices, matching then to delivery notes and purchase orders, and confirming authorisation* Entry of purchase invoices onto Sage* Checking of credit card statements and entering card purchases onto Sage* Process of miscellaneous supplier payments and posting them, via the cash book to Sage* General financial administration including filing and report generation* Purchase planning and administration of low level stock components
