Student Finance Officer

Hours: 15.5 hours per week

Monday – 08:30 – 15:00

Wednesday – 09:00 - 15:00

Friday – 10:30 – 15:00

Salary: £17,645 per annum, pro rata

Fixed Term for 12 Months

This role of Student Finance Officer is part of a small team who administer the bursary fund, assess applications in line with Government guidelines and College policy, and make payments. As the Student Finance Officer you will provide a professional and approachable point of contact for students and prospective students and their families.

As a Student Finance Officer, you will be contributing to the running of an efficient and responsive bursary service, which will support the professional, high quality image of Eastleigh College. You will support students and their families with face to face, telephone or email enquiries, and will be working with other departments in College and external partner agencies to find the best solution to supporting our student’s attendance and successful completion of their chosen qualification.

You should have excellent interpersonal skills, ICT and experience in customer service. Attention to detail, an ability to work independently and to deadlines and some experience of working with cash and payments would be an advantage. Ideally you will be friendly, professional and approachable.
