Programme Lead for Maths
37 hours per week, 52 weeks per annum
This is an exciting new opportunity for an outstanding maths teacher to co-ordinate and oversee the maths provision within the faculty of English and maths. This position will involve teaching maths, predominantly GCSE, but there will also be a requirement to teach Functional Skills. The successful candidate will demonstrate an understanding of current maths developments and initiatives and the ability to put this knowledge into practice to ensure a cohesive and relevant offer for our students.
The English and Maths Faculty is staffed by talented, experienced staff who use innovative methods to deliver the curriculum. We are passionate about providing the qualifications and training that local employers and communities need, not only in the form of qualifications but also holistic employability skills.
There is an expectation that the successful candidate will:
- Teach maths
- Be an outstanding teacher
- Be able to communicate confidently with students and staff from all levels
- Support lecturers to ensure that there is a first-class delivery
- Be able to travel between campuses at short notice
