ASSISTANT FACULTY DIRECTOR – CONSTRUCTION CRAFTS

Salary: £37,908 to £43,914 per annum
Hours: 37 per week
As the UK’s leading provider of construction education and training we are at the forefront of delivering high quality programmes across the construction and engineering sector. This role is for the division of Construction Crafts, which include all timber and fabric trades. It also includes the 14-16 curriculum, On Site Assessment and Training and management of local community projects. In addition within the division we have full time study programmes, adult programmes and apprenticeship provision which will soon include new standards in all areas noted above. The division of Construction Crafts is one of the College’s growth areas and we are proud of our excellent facilities and the quality of our assessment, teaching and learning to meet industry needs.
Providing direct support to the Faculty Director, you will manage and co-ordinate the day to day activities within the Faculty for your areas of responsibility. Working closely with the faculty staff but also student services, marketing, work-based learning and other cross-college teams, you will also contribute to the monitoring, review and evaluation of all programmes. Excellent communication and negotiation skills are key requirements for this role to ensure first class customer service and liaison with College stakeholders.
With extensive experience in the management of full time study programmes, adult learning, apprenticeships, new standards and NVQs, you will have first-rate data management and presentation skills and a thorough understanding of excellence in teaching, learning and assessment, together with current developments within Construction Crafts, Timber Trades, 14-16 Curriculum and On Site Assessment Training. Experience of monitoring KPIs and continuously improving performance together with a qualification to level 5 or above are all essential criteria for this position.
