Team Leader Quality Improvement/Lead ALN/ALS
The Team Leader Quality Improvement has a key role in ensuring the quality of assessment, process and practices and the impact of quality improvement on teaching and learning in the apprenticeship delivery team. In addition the post holder will maintain a designated assessment and verification caseload across vocationally relevant areas in work-based and work-place learning and provide the lead for ALN/ALS activity. Lead on Smart Assessor Implementation.
It is the responsibility of the Workforce Developer to manage the whole process of support, training and assessment for each apprentice. This will start with recruitment to maintain caseload, continue with initial advice and guidance, enrolments, completion of Individual Learning Plan, training, assessment, registration with Awarding Body, delivery of Key Skills (or co-ordinate with the Key Skills Team), Technical Certificate (or co-ordinate with relevant School), review and sign off processes. All of this will occur within the time frame of the original ILP in order to meet the new Measures of Success.
NVQs in the Workplace
Whilst it is likely that such learners will be recruited by the Business Development Executives the postholder will be expected to work with the BDE in the company to engage more learners to replenish caseload as learners successfully complete.
Such NVQs will be delivered in full including sign up training, assessment and relevant underpinning knowledge.
Where there are significant numbers to be signed up the Business Centre will engage with the College’s IAG and Enrolment team to assist. The BDE will also support the sign up and guidance and ILP processes.
Skills for Life in the Workplace
The role will be exactly the same as with NVQs.
NB The Workforce Developer will effectively be the “one stop” shop for the employer and the learner and will provide the full service. Whilst this might seem daunting it is important to understand the significant levels of support that will be given by BDEs, the Business Administration Team and the manager of the Workforce Development Team.
