Part-time Payroll & Accounts Clerk

A friendly and laidback company based in Chester are looking for an experienced Payroll and Accounts Assistant to join their team.

The ideal candidate will have experience of working in a Payroll position using Sage and will have previous experience working on end to end payroll and working in varied accounts role.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Managing the payroll process for a high volume of employees in the Group
• Weekly and monthly payroll submissions
• Liaising with the wider business and company subsidiaries
• Administer auto-enrolment pension schemes
• Calculating SSP, SMP, SPP and holiday pay
• Calculating changes to hourly rates, overtime and expenses payments
• Producing P45s, P46 and P60s
• Reconciling bank accounts
• Purchase Ledger – allocating purchase invoices and reconciling supplier accounts
• Sales Ledger – invoicing and reconciling balances, allocating payments
• Producing reports and assisting with month end close
• Liaising with employees and resolving any payroll queries
• Process month and year end returns
• VAT submissions to HMRC

Skills required:

• Up to date experience in end to end Payroll
• Previous experience in a varied Accounts role
• Experience with Sage Payroll and Sage 50 is advantageous
