Fleet Tutors provides one-to-one tuition in client’s homes and school settings throughout the UK. We receive daytime, evening and weekend tutoring opportunities, predominantly for core academic subjects, and are always keen to recruit additional tutors.
Typically you will need to have a relevant degree and six months teaching or tutoring experience (Qualified Teacher Status is desirable).
Typical assignments you may receive include;
- Private families - Requests received nationwide from primary through to university level. Pay rates vary and are dependent on your experience and qualifications.
- Home schooling - Interim academic timetable for home schooled students in preparation for exams where you can earn up to £28 per hour for tutoring during the school day.
- Local authorities and schools, to include; Alternative Provision -Daytime tuition requests for students who are out of school. These are often with challenging students and can be long-term placements offering more extensive hours where you can receive up to £34 per hour. Supplementary Provision -After school tuition often for Looked After Children required for core subjects, secondary and primary age students, as well as EFL and ESOL learners. You will be paid up to £28 per hour.
- Online - Clients include GCSE, A level, university and adult learners who require tuition online via Skype and an interactive whiteboard. From the comfort of your own home, you can earn up to £24 per hour.
