We are looking for a well organised and ambitious Fundraising Co-ordinator to take responsibility for administration, co-ordination and development of all fundraising activities. Working between 16 and 18 hours per week, ideally split over 4 days we can offer a friendly working environment and the opportunity to join the business at an exciting time and will pay approx. £11.35 per hour plus offer 25 days hol pro rata.

Working closely with the newly appointed Fundraising Development Manager, the Co-ordinator will help to grow the community and corporate fundraising income through the provision of support to the Fundraising Manager, fundraisers and support groups.

Key responsibilities include:

Supporting the Fundraising Development Manager on all necessary activities including the achievement of all income budgets

Responsible for the day to day administration of all fundraising activities, to include:

Social media, newsletter and marketing copy

Securing fundraising pledged income from fundraisers and companies

*
Updating the CRM system with donor information and gifts

*
Contacting supporters and managing their fundraising experience

*
Maintaining spreadsheets and updating income reports and activities

*
Processing payments and sending ‘thank you’ letter

*
Drafting press releases to local media to raise the profile of local fundraising

*
Delegating tasks to fundraising volunteers

*
Co-ordinating fundraising materials, ensuring sufficient stock and accurate content

*
Developing records relating to Charity of the Year partnerships, Gift in Kind register, local funding etc

*
Any other fundraising related administration and activities as delegated by the Fundraising Development Manager

Liaison with Support Groups to help them to develop their fundraising activities

Through research, identifying companies who may wish to fundraise or donate to our organisation

Researching fundraising campaigns and events by other charities and make recommendations

*
Liaison with all third-party suppliers

*
Ideally, the successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:

Fundraising either in a paid position or as a volunteer.

*
Awareness of the opportunities presented by Corporate fundraising.

*
Experience of organising customer-facing events and managing volunteers

*
Experience of identifying, acquiring and supporting the development of new fundraising opportunities and partnerships.

Experience of working towards and achieving income/expenditure targets

*
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage a changing workload

*
Sound negotiating and influencing skills, and the ability to motivate others

*
The confidence to attend external event and networking opportunities as well as present to small groups

*
Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to build relationships, both internally and externally

*
Confident and friendly phone manner with an ability to empathise with supporters
