The EI is looking to provide some additional support to the Technical Team by recruiting a new Technical Administrative Officer. The Technical Team develops codes of practice, specifications, and good practice for the energy industry.
Key areas of work are within health, safety, asset integrity, the environment, and fuels and fuel handling in the oil and gas, offshore wind and thermal power generation sectors.
The position will primarily be focussed on providing administrative and office management support to the technical team, including maintaining databases, maintaining website materials, invoice processing and wider administrative support across the technical team.
The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated self-starter who demonstrates initiative and can work with a minimum of supervision. Attention to detail and good organisational skills will be essential. A technical or science based background is not essential.
The Energy Institute (EI) is the largest global professional body and learned society concerned with energy issues. The EI develops and disseminates knowledge, skills and good practice working to enhance the safety, security and sustainability of energy systems.
A job description is available from the EI website (in the about us section). We welcome applications from a wide range of backgrounds including industry, academia, government, regulatory authorities and NGOs.
