The Role

We are looking for a logistics coordinator to join our supervised contact team to co-ordinate the arrangements for supervised contact. As part of your role you will be translating referrals from social workers into meetings between family members, organised in a safe, logistically appropriate and a cost effective manner.

The role requires the individual to be able to plan meetings, identify the most appropriate venue and supervised contact worker and overcome any issues that may prevent the achievement of meetings within timescales. The ability to problem solve if necessary as well as to resolve any immediate responses to staff sickness, annual leave or crisis intervention in emergency situations is essential for the role. You will also be required to provide statistical updates of the services provided.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

A general understanding of the supervised contact serviceGood telephone manner and ability to liaise with other professionals, children and familiesKnowledge of financial procedures, systems and logistical co ordinationGood IT skills and an understanding of data protectionKnowledge of excel and wordEvidence of continual professional developmentPrevious experience in the negotiating, liaising roleGeographical knowledge of Essex desirableAbility to work on own or as part of team

The role requires you to be mobile throughout a wide operational area including travelling around the county of Essex and beyond, transporting service users and their belongings and to be able to do so in an emergency. Driving licence and car or ability to meet the mobility requirements of the role through other means is essential.

Qualification certificates must be brought to interview.
