The School

The school is a 2 form school, with a centre of excellence for inclusion. Within the ASD resource base, It has 2 classrooms consisting of 4 pupils in each class. All of the pupils have different levels of ASD, ranging from Mild Autism to Severe Autism.

The Wandsworth SEN Teaching Assistant role:

Both 1:1 and group teachingBe able to build relationships with an outstanding SEN teacherTeaching and learning knowledgeAbility to use ICT to enable pupils to gain access to the curriculumWorking closely with other like minded teaching assistantsDaily rate £75-£80

Desirable for the Wandsworth SEN Teaching Assistant role:

Knowledge of specialist resources and approaches to teaching children with autism including TEACCH, PECs and MakatonKnowledge of the SEN code of practice and the EHCP processKnowledge of current research on autism and successful specific interventions.Knowledge on Wandsworth area
