This post is in the Finance and HR Operations team which delivers Finance and HR transactional services and Management Information to HMT and Arm’s Length Bodies (ALBs). The team is based mainly in Norwich. This role is within the Finance Operations team that provides a wide range of services including payment of supplier invoices, creation of customer invoices, administration and reconciliations of various bank accounts, management of corporate and procurement cards and the contract management of corporate contracts.Key accountabilities Process purchase and consolidated invoices, ensuring the validity and accuracy of data uploaded and recorded in our financial systems and that all queries and discrepancies are investigated and resolved. Deal with corporate credit card transactions, ensuring the validity and accuracy of data uploaded and recorded in our financial systems and that all queries and discrepancies are investigated and resolved and assist with the administration and management of the corporate card system. Process banking payments, cheques, BACS and journals, ensuring the validity and accuracy of data uploaded and recorded in our financial systems. Assist with credit control, chasing outstanding payments and the banking of cash and cheques. Raise sales invoices in our financial systems, ensuring the accuracy of data entry, investigating and resolving any queries. Investigate and respond to phone and email enquiries from staff, managers, suppliers etc in accordance with our customer care and service delivery standards. Set up new suppliers and make amendments to the existing supplier on our ERP system, working closely with HM Treasury Oracle Team to ensure that this is done in accordance with existing financial rules. Due to the changing landscape of the Finance and HR Operations team, the successful applicant should accept that the following accountabilities are the current requirements but are not fixed and subject to change over time.

5 GCSEs at Grade A* to C (or equivalent) including English and Maths.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Experience:Ability to deal with customers at all levels, and in demanding situations Aptitude and interest in working with numerical data in a finance environment. IT literate with a sound working knowledge of Excel, Outlook and Word. Experience of working in a customer service environment. Ability to use initiative, work independently, and manage own workload. Hours of work
The working hours of this post are 42 per week (including meal breaks of 1 hour a day)
