Apprentice Business Administrator in Birmingham
We are currently seeking an ambitious individual for an Information Technology and Governance Assistant to complete their Business Administrator Level 3 apprenticeship with QA.
The responsibilities of the apprentice will be to provide effective and efficient administrative support to the Information Technology and Governance function and its leaders. The role will have particular responsibilities in supporting the day to day work of the IT Governance Officer and the Data Protection and Information Compliance Officer.
We are a free, independent service that helps to resolve issues between the public, lawyers and claims management companies (CMC's) through impartial investigation and balanced reasoning.
Our aim is to provide a complaint handling service that is fair, accessible and easy to use and which focuses on resolving complaints informally and quickly.
IT Governance:Organise and service IT budget and procurement meetings Organise and service operational supplier management forums Assist in obtaining quotes and raise purchase orders for IT goods and services Assist with the checking of any ordered goods upon arrival Assist with the checking of incoming IT invoices before they are passed for budget holder authorisation Assist with the maintenance of financial records for IT, both paper and electronic
Data Protection and Information Compliance:Maintain the FOI and Subject Access Request (SAR) logs Assist with information gathering to support FOI and SAR responses Produce first drafts of responses to less complex requests Organise and service the security forum Assist with the collation of information for ARAC reports and for any official returns Provide support to any DP/FOI/Infosec education and awareness raising initiatives
Team Administration and Support:Schedule monthly team meetings and monthly ITG leadership meetings Assist with any information gathering for internal or external audits impacting the team Undertake any other duties as directed by the Head of IT, the IT Governance Officer, or the Data Protection and Information Compliance Officer

Good organisational and administrative skills
Qualification:A minimum of 5 GCSE, with 3 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades A-C in any subject, plus GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent) at grade D or above.
Salary:£150 per week
