Spire Bushey Hospital has some exciting opportunities for Medical Laboratory Assistant to join our experienced and dynamic team. Working with a wide variety of specialisms you will be able to develop you clinical skills in a modern and supportive environment.

Spire Bushey Hospital is a state of the art 70 bedded Hospital with 6 High Specification Surgical Theatres and 20 Outpatient Consulting rooms; we also have a minor procedure suite for day case and out-patient surgery. Our cardiology unit including echocardiography stress testing, 24 hour ECG analysis and a host of other services. We are also proud of our Macmillan Quality Environment Mark (MQEM) accredited dedicated cancer centre which provides chemotherapy and radiotherapy treatment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Essential qualities expected are efficiency, being well organised, having good communication skills and attention to detail. Good keyboard skills are desirable. In addition, you should be a reliable individual who is able to demonstrate good practical skills and work as part of a team.

You must be keen to embrace new ways of working and develop your knowledge and skills and able to participate in the shift system. Support and encouragement will be given for career development.

You will also develop a working environment and culture that actively improves health, safety and security and infection control, lead others in the development of knowledge, ideas and work practices and plan, allocate, assess and provide feedback to team members.a

Who we are looking for:

Ideally you will have a science background/science degree, experience in a lab and experience on Roche analyser. Used to working with minimum supervision and experience of working in an Acute environment.
