Director of Communications and Partnerships

The Director of Communications and Partnerships will play a central role in delivering BEIS priorities and supporting a business-friendly EU Exit. The individual will be a key member of the Corporate Services senior leadership team, offering support and advice to BEIS ministers. They will lead a directorate which sits at the heart of the department, leading on communication, engagement, and stakeholder relationships as well as overseeing BEIS’s working relations with its network of 39 partner organisations.
We are seeking an exceptional strategic communicator and inspirational leader with experience of working in a complex environment that is subject to media attention and public scrutiny. You will have an impressive track record in providing clear, balanced advice and professional leadership at Board level on a wide range of sensitive and complex communications issues. You will be highly experienced in engaging with senior stakeholders, both internally and externally, building, fostering, and maintaining high-level partnerships across a complex landscape. You will also have a high degree of professional judgement to command confidence at every level.
