Are you an experienced qualified social worker specialising in fostering and looking for a brand new challenge? If you are looking to progress upwards from a Supervising social worker within a successful and therapeutic service then this role could be perfect for you. Or if you are currently working at a Senior level within a Fostering service but feel the need for change then please read on.

A small to medium sized and independently owned Fostering Agency are looking to expand their team in Wiltshire/Somerset. You will join and help lead an established and well regarded team of supervising social workers, with direct support from a Regional Director. This organisation, although well recognised and expanding, still have a very supportive 'family feel' as an employer.

The role is diverse and challenging with a manageable case load of foster carers and also duties of a Deputy Manager / Senior Practitioner. The region is already developed and will be a great chance for you to make your own mark on this region but with no pressure of immediate growth.

Responsibilities include:

· Managing a small fostering social work team, offering support and supervision

· Deputising for the Registered Manager

· Leading carer support group and training for foster carers

· Carrying a reduced caseload

· Driving the fostering service forward, continually looking to drive improvements in outcomes for children

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced fostering social worker to take the next step in their career, whilst being part of a well-structured and successful organisation. Staff supervisory / management experience would be a distinct advantage, but is not essential: just as important is a positive and ambitious outlook and ‘can do’ attitude. In return this organisation will reward the successful candidate with training and guidance where relevant.

This is an exciting time to join this organisation as they are expanding at a controlled rate and you can quickly make your mark in your region.

With a competitive salary and excellent benefits this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
