Care and Support Worker required for a large Mental Care scheme.

You will be working for a leading provider of housing, care and support services based in South Wales.
Your new role
As a Mental Health Support Worker your main responsibility will be to provide practical and emotional support to vulnerable residents, whilst preparing regular Risk Assessments and working to existing Care and Support Plans. You will help your clients to engage in group activities and involve them in the community, monitor their well being and refer onto more specialist staff where required. The role will require signposting to specialist agencies and offering assistance with feeding and personal care.
What you'll need to succeed
You will need previous experience working within the Care and Support sector and understand the issues affecting those suffering from or Mental Illness, ideally within a residential environment. You will also need to be confident when dealing with individuals with challenging behaviour.
