Aurora Resourcing are currently working in partnership with a Local Authority in South Wales, Cardiff to recruit a caring, experienced Qualified Children’s Social worker to join their MASH team.

MASH is being developed with strong commitment from their key partners in the police service, health, probation, education and others. The MASH team offers you the opportunity to share information about children and families where there are concerns for the welfare of children and thereafter to protect and safeguard them.

This is a contract position that is likely to last between 3-6 months but could be longer. You will receive a quick and easy registration service including a free DBS if you are not on the update service.

The candidate and the role

· As a Qualified Social Worker you will have a sound knowledge of the relevant legislation required to do the role.

· You will have experience of working in a frontline team with a thorough understanding of thresholds and universal services.

· Within this position you will be required to be the first point of contact for all referrals to the service including early intervention, disabled children and the children’s hospital team.

· As a Qualified Social Worker you will work closely with partner agencies and the MASH social workers, duty team support officers and social work assistants who will act as researchers collating information.

· Holding current HCPC registered you will have some post qualified experience in a relevant team/role.

Pay and Benefits

· You will receive £26 - £30 an hour as well as mileage contribution
