Family Support Worker
Family Support Worker job. Nights and weekends. Bridlington £9.00+ per hour dependent on experience.
Your new company
You will be working for a company that provides early intervention and assessment of families who may need support raising their children due to a parental background of substance misuse, domestic violence, learning difficulties or other complex needs.
Your new role
Working alongside the established staff in the centre, you will work with families to ensure that routines around childcare are maintained with a particular focus on feeding patterns for young babies. You will be monitoring and note taking on how the family interacts with their child and other behavioural patterns. This would be a good opportunity for a newly qualified social worker to gain experience of working 1-1 with families and children.
What you'll need to succeed
An NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care Children and Young People's services or above (equivalent qualifications valid such as public services, social work or youth work)
Experience of working with parents and families
Experience of working with substance misuse
Experience of working in mental health or learning disabilities
