Sous Chef - Great British Gastro Pub - Windsor - £28,000

We are looking for a passionate and experienced Sous chef to join the team at our food lovers gastro pub in a picturesque setting just a 5 minute drive west of Windsor.

As Sous Chef you will be experienced across all sections in the kitchen and have great confidence in your abilities. You will have an energetic ‘can-do’ attitude and a calm and controlled approach to problem solving.

Duties will include - Sous Chef

·Managing, mentoring, training and developing the brigade

·Preparing and serving exceptional food using the freshest seasonal produce

·Creating menu items, specials and theme night menus along with the head chef

·Managing service daily ensuring the quality and speed of service is unquestionable

·Being responsible for the head chef’s duties in his absence

·Maintaining kitchen hygiene and safety systems

·Working across various sections of the kitchen

·Section ordering, stock control and waste management

·Scheduling the kitchen rota and holiday management

Sous chef - The Ideal Candidate

You will have a genuine passion for exceptional food, be enthusiastic, ambitious by nature and communicate effectively at all levels.Excellent attention to detail and standards. You will have At least 2 years experience working at a similar level with 2 AA-rosette standard, from a quality pub, hotel or restaurant operation. Self-starter who can manage his or her own time.

·45-50hrs per week across 5 days

·£28k – £32K depending on experience
