The role

The role of the KIT Manager is to deliver company growth by managing and developing our team of 7 Telesales Account Managers and two support members. The team are responsible for 70% of overall company revenue and the manager needs to run a structured and motivated department. The KIT Manager will liaise with other sales HOD’S to ensure all targets and KPI’s are being met and that quarterly goals are being exceeded. They will be confident in figures and reporting as all the revenue for the company will be processed through their department. They will ensure that their team is held in high regard within the business by creating an atmosphere that is hard working, determined and vibrant. They will be forward thinking and have great ideas to bring to interdepartmental meetings and can see the bigger picture. They are success orientated and want to deliver results for the business.

• Creating a proactive, customer-driven culture with clear leadership and goals • Being an active part of the sales management team, co-operating and driving cross-team business initiatives in close collaboration with the managers of the external sales teams• Meeting and exceeding sales targets• Owning the internal sales plan and executing it over the year• Collaborating closely with marketing on the marketing plans and ensuring alignment with the sales plan• Measuring ongoing performance and results of inbound calls, outbound calls and specific campaigns over time• Implementing and developing new sales strategies in order to support company growth • Presenting to international distributors, plan and attend trade shows, and liaise with brand managers with regard to promotions • Maximise sales opportunities by leading and supporting the head office sales team in achieving set KPI's• Working closely alongside the Operations Manager to ensure sales targets are in line with overall business objectives
Team Development

• Help the team to build and strategically foster relationships with salons and customers, to gain clear understanding of their businesses, requirements and objectives, to ensure sales targets are met and expectations exceeded • Work with Human Resources and Recruitment to recruit, interview, select, hire, and employ any new team members • Provide oversight and direction to the team members in accordance with iiaa policies and procedures• Coach, mentor and develop team members, including overseeing new employee onboarding and providing career development planning and opportunities• Empower team member to take responsibility for their jobs and goals. • Foster a spirit of teamwork and unity among department members. Develop an appreciation of diversity as well as cohesiveness, supportiveness, and working effectively together to enable each team member and the department to succeed• Lead employees using a performance management and development process that provides an overall context and framework to encourage team members contribution and includes goal setting, feedback, and performance development planning• Provide effective performance feedback through employee recognition, rewards, and disciplinary action, with the assistance of Human Resources, when necessary• Maintain transparent communication. Appropriately communicate organisation information through department meetings, one-on-one meetings, and appropriate email and regular interpersonal communication• Instigating any appropriate corrective actions for underperformers, using performance management tools• Undertaking 1:1 monthly meetings with each Account Manager to ensure personal and business goals are met
Candidate requirements
• Previous experience managing a sales team, ideally in a telesales environment • An experienced coach who has a proven track record of upskilling teams• A personable leader able to inspire through words and actions• Confident in sales management with a strong understanding of setting targets, incentives, driving KPI’S and high performance • Dedicated to offering exceptional customer service to every client be it by phone, email or face to face• A personal proven track record in sales• Intermediate Excel skills • Strong numerical and analytical skills • Confident in understanding and interpreting financial data• Must enjoy working in a high-pressure environment• Superb planning and organisational skills• Able to see the big picture and inspire others to get there• Able to challenge ideas effectively whilst maintaining collaborative and productive working relationships• A positive can-do attitude; we believe in having a positive and optimistic attitude about everything we do because it inspires others to have the same
