About the role

We are looking for enthusiastic and reliable Social Workers with a variety of knowledge and experience to join our Care Management team on the Isle of Man. In this role, our Social Workers often look after long-term cases, so the ability to provide efficient and effective management, supervision and support to a small team is key.

You will need to be energectic and driven to provide the best outcomes for young people and their families. You should have experience of leading and managing staff in a statutory setting and must be registered with a professional social work body such as HCPC (or equivalent). You should be able to prioritise a busy workload, remain calm under pressure and employ highest levels of diplomacy and tact when dealing with people at all levels.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Providing direct management, supervision and professional support to all staff directly reporting to the post;
  • Ensuring effective and efficient distribution of work in line with agreed policy and practice;
  • Supporting the extended management team in providing leadership and driving service delivery and improvement;
  • Being accountable for performance management of the team based on regular scrutiny of available data;
  • Ensuring work undertaken by staff meets policy and best practice guidelines, striving to meet high professional standards;

Interview expenses and a relocation package of up to £7,000 based on receipts is available for this role. For any further information on the relocation package please visit our website. This role also qualifies for a recruitment incentive of £3,000 which will be payable in the 1st, 13th, and 25th months of employment.
