This is what progress looks like
Families change. We change with them. That’s why to us, social work is always work in progress. There has never been a more exciting time to join our team: as well as making a difference to the lives of families in Lincolnshire, we’re sharing best practice and driving innovation as an improvement partner to other authorities. Our people are at the heart of that progress, which is why we make sure they have access to the best support, development and training opportunities.
Social work is challenging. We’re making sure it’s challenging for the right reasons.
This is what potential looks like
Here at Lincolnshire County Council, we believe that children, young people and families deserve outstanding social care. That’s why we’ve taken a pioneering approach, leading exciting new government programmes like Partners in Practice and implementing Signs of Safety across all service areas. Now, we’re continuing that process with our PERI Team. Made up of two Advanced Practitioners and four Level 2 Social Workers, this unit helps our other social workers tackle spikes in cases or resourcing challenges. At the frontline of our service, these are the experts we rely on when help is needed the most.
In this role, you will work at the heart of our PERI Team, overseeing the care needs of children and families around Lincolnshire. Collaborating with social workers from across our council, you will also help make workloads more manageable during times of demand, creating consistency and stability, and having a positive effect on the way we all work. This is an invaluable opportunity to put your skills to the test, build new capabilities and support those in the most challenging circumstances.
What we’re looking for
Compassionate and dedicated, you’re a professional, qualified social worker with substantial children’s social care exPERIence and in depth knowledge of the legislative framework and legal proceedings that govern children’s services. Exceptional communication skills and a love of your profession mean you’re able to make complicated information easily understandable. You’ll also need to show us that you have exPERIence managing people and projects at different levels.
This is what opportunity looks like
Our people make progress possible. That’s why we make sure they have everything they need to excel, from comprehensive inductions, tailored in-house training, to support towards accreditation. Not only that, we’re revolutionising training with our Bridging the Gap programme, increasing job mobility by simplifying team swaps, and we’re promoting work-life balance as we introduce flexible working policies. We’ll always encourage you to hone your skills, and always give you the support and reassurance you need with challenging work or difficult decision-making.
This is what Lincolnshire looks like
Good schools. Beautiful surroundings. Affordable housing. One of the main reasons to join Lincolnshire County Council is Lincolnshire itself. From adventuring in the nearby Wolds, to visiting the coast, to exploring the rich local heritage, there’s plenty to see and do in our warm and welcoming county. And, with a generous relocation and benefits package, plus a flexible approach to helping you strike the right work-life balance, we’ll give you all the support you need to make the most of it.
We understand that you may have questions or simply want to speak to one of the team to find out more about working here. That’s why we have a dedicated in-house advisor on hand to talk to you and support you with your application. Simply contact Nikita Lord on 07775 642 894 and she’ll be in touch as soon as possible.
