Reporting to the Global Director of Sales, the Regional Sales Director is responsible for developing group/MICE business for all Dorchester Collection hotels along with maintaining relationships and driving maximum group leads/revenue potential from designated territories into all hotels. With exceptional capability in creating guest loyalty, the Regional Sales Director will produce a strategic and measurable sales action plan and achieve individual goals set by the Global Director of Sales.

Target segments

· Meetings, incentive, conference & events market (MICE)

· Groups & event planners/ bookers in Corporate Market

Generate qualified group business/leads for all Dorchester Collection properties and follow up on leads forwarded from hotels/corporate office.
Develop sales strategies to solicit and further develop business from existing accounts, to prospect and uncover new business and to gain market share from competitive set to match Dorchester Collection hotels’ revenue plan strategies.
Manage sales activity in territory to increase awareness and positive image of Dorchester Collection.
Travel to the properties and various tradeshows / events outside assigned territory as required and explore/research new tradeshow or exhibition opportunities.
Arrange and facilitate key account appointments / presentations for visiting hotel colleagues to assigned territory – when necessary.
Identify new RFP opportunities and work closely on RFP negotiations /re-negotiations and secure maximum number of group RFPs that match hotels’ needs.
Undertake ad hoc special projects as required.
Escort FAM trips to Dorchester Collection properties as necessary.
Attend and participate in annual Dorchester Collection sales meeting and annual sales training.
Keep accurate, clean & up to date records of sales activities (advising client potential for all Dorchester Collection hotels) in Delphi database
Keep accurate records of expenses and petty cash and manage/update assigned budget on a monthly basis.
Prepare annual individual budget and manage final approved version.
