Position: Vocal Artist Course Leader
Location: London, Shoreditch
Job type: Part Time, Permanent
Hours: 22.5 hours per week
Salary: £16,395 to £18,009 per annum pro rata

About the role:

We are looking for an experienced, dynamic teacher to manage and deliver on our Level 2 Vocal Artist course.

Supporting the course team, the successful candidate will plan and organise team operations and ensure the efficient implementation of College policies and procedures to deliver the highest possible quality curriculum to our students.

You will lead the team on the development and delivery of our provision, from coordinating resources and managing student activities to course marketing. You will create a positive climate and set high expectations for the course team in relation to standards of student achievement and the quality of teaching as well as advising and guiding the team members on teaching and learning strategies.

You will work amongst experienced, passionate tutors and managers as well as within a support service provided by our Central Team.

About you:

- A degree or equivalent professional qualification in a relevant subject area
- A formal teaching qualification at level 4 (CTLLS or equivalent) or above
- Literacy and Numeracy qualifications at level 2 or above
- Experience of working in Further Education
- Experience of the post-16 age group
- Significant successful experience of teaching on the relevant course area
- Up-to-date knowledge of the subject area, syllabus requirements and appropriate teaching techniques; an awareness of requirements of awarding bodies
- Knowledge and understanding of mechanisms for the identification, assessment and support of learner needs
- Understanding of equality and diversity within the curriculum, barriers to learning and strategies to overcome these
- The ability to lead a course team through support
- Sound IT skills
- The ability to contribute to the development of the curriculum and resources
