Night Family Mentor and Family Support Worker

Your new company

Family monitor worker based in Bromley & Croydon Night Worker Shift Worker, 3 Night on and 3 Nights off

Your new role

You will be working for a leading private residential care organisation which offers social work services to families and children.

Day Workers:

As a Family Monitor / Family Support Worker your main responsibility will be to protect and promote the welfare of children and their carers. You will be contributing to their assessment on a 24/7 basis, both in the residence and in the community. You will be various attending meetings and appointments in line with your care as well as observing the day to day care of children by their parents/carers. You will respond to the needs of the families to promote their welfare and safety. You will administer access to medications and record all transactions accordingly. You will participate in meetings, training sessions and health and safety procedures. To log daily activity involving the families including visits from family and friends or professional bodies.

You will undertake individual and key work sessions. You will manage/co-manage/organise group work sessions. You will organise, support and mentor less experienced colleagues.

What you'll need to succeed

You will have experience in support/care work children and/or families. You will be an excellent team player as well as able to work on your own initiative. You will be confident in working with people of varied needs as well as adhering and implementing safeguarding requirements on a daily basis.
