Job Title: Learning Support Assistant
Term time only (36 weeks a year) – Salary paid equally in 12 monthly instalments
£19,683 - £23,019 Pro rata, Part Time/ Term Time
Typical Salary for 25 hours - £11,429 pa – unqualified, £12,214 pa - Qualified
The College of North West London is a constituent college of the United Colleges Group (UCG), which was formed by the merger of CNWL with City of Westminster College.

The United College Group is looking to employ enthusiastic Learning Support Assistants who are committed to supporting learners to achieve their potential within their studies. This is a job where you can make a positive difference. The role includes supporting learning in the classroom as directed by the teacher, encouraging students to engage with activities or to work independently, where appropriate
You need to have a sense of responsibility and the ability to use your initiative, as well as a flexible approach to your work. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, along with the ability to establish good working relationships with teaching and other support staff is also required.
Previous experience of working with young people or adults with learning difficulties and/or disabilities in a multi-ethnic environment is essential, and experience of working with visually and/or hearing-impaired students is desirable. You will need to have GCSE English, Maths and basic IT Skills. Hours available are subject to learner needs but can be up to 30 hours per week.
