Reporting directly to the Director of Finance, you will take ownership of the preparation, production, analysis and review of our management accounts, ensuring a steady pipeline of insightful information for our decision-makers. At the same time, you will join the College Group Management Team, giving you real influence over the way we think and work, so we require an exceptional professional with highly developed leadership skills. In particular, you should be adept at identifying variances and missing data, undertaking ad hoc investigations and projects, and compiling statutory financial returns, whilst maximising the performance of every member of your team.
Naturally, you should be highly experienced in producing management accounts within a complex, substantial organisation, including mentoring colleagues and engaging with auditors. Equally, you should possess exceptional analytical skills and the highest levels of computer literacy, and you will be passionate about identifying opportunities to implement best practice and best value. Finally, experience of managing cash flow and reporting would be very useful, as would knowledge of insurance and pensions (LGPS/TPS) arrangements.
