Full-time Post – 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year
Salary: £20,417-22,299 & £15,448 - £16,855

Part-time/Term time Post – 30 hours per week, 41 weeks per year
Salary: £15,448 - £16,855

Kirklees College is a large successful FE college, currently Ofsted graded as Good. Operating across Kirklees with centres based in Huddersfield and Dewsbury.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work within a modern building, with excellent on site facilities, such as a fully equipped gym, hair & beauty salons and fine dining restaurant.

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and organised Work Placement Officer who has experience of achieving challenging targets. You will be required to contact employers to secure work placement opportunities for College learners. You will carry out Health & Safety checks, work with the learner to ensure the placements are suitable and will provide a meaningful experience.

Duties also include attending internal and external careers events and completing employer visits. You will need excellent communication skills and a drive to achieve targets. A clean driving licence with own transport and experience in an educational or training environment is desirable.

The qualifications deemed essential for the post are a minimum of a Level 2 qualification in literacy and numeracy (e.g. GCSE English and Maths at grade A*-C). The ability to converse at ease with members of the public and provide advice in accurate spoken English is also essential for the post.
