Lecturer - LLDD
As a lecturer for students with additional needs that range from complex to moderate learning disabilities and/or difficulties, you will report directly to the Curriculum Manager. You will be responsible for delivering Health and Wellbeing across our provision, that will include supporting young people to make healthy choices resulting in good health outcomes, such as exercise and sport, healthy eating, health awareness, how to understand your own health better and how to access health services. You will help young people develop effective communication skills and increased self-confidence that will lead to improved wellbeing.
The role will also include teaching in other areas of the curriculum, such as developing the independent living skills that our young people will need to make a successful transition into adult life, and development of vocational/work skills that will form the stepping-stones to employment. You will also deliver community Inclusion to ensure young people are active and safely engaged in their communities.
This post may also include dedicated and integrated Entry Level Functional Skills (English, Maths and ICT) throughout the curriculum.
We are seeking an experienced sport and wellbeing lecturer for students with additional needs. You will have a demonstrable ability to achieve student success in Sports and Wellbeing and Skills for Life and Work.

Hours: 32.4 hours per week
Salary: £25,910 - £33,030 pro rata per annum, actual salary £23,319 - £29,727 per annum dependent upon experience and qualifications
Annual Leave: 42 days pro rata per annum
