We are looking for a friendly, proactive and committed person to join our busy College finance team working within the Cash Office. Cash handling and end of day cashing up experience is required. In addition you will be require to process financial transactions accurately and in a timely manner. The position will report to the Finance Coordinator as part of a team of four Finance Assistants whom cover all of the tasks listed below for the College. The exact mix of task responsibilities will be determined partly by the skill set of the successful candidate and partly by a review being undertaken of the current allocation of tasks across the team.

  • Process transactions and respond to enquiries at the college cash office.
  • Maintain financial controls over cash ensuring all cash is accounted for at the end of the day.
  • Raise Sales Ledger invoices.
  • Internet bank payments.
  • Credit Control
  • Reconcile and input daily takings
  • Banking
  • Filing

This post is permanent and part time working Tuesday – Thursday 8.30 – 5pm. However, the working hours will vary on occasions dependent on the needs of the College. E.g. Enrolment and holiday cover.

Experience of working within a finance and cash office environment is essential to this role
